I was part of a team of designers that developed the Cost of Living brand for BBC News across the website, social media, and broadcast. Our goal was to create a more approachable, relatable identity for younger audiences while maintaining the subject’s seriousness.

We refined the visual language to add warmth and human interest, moving away from the traditionally heavy business and economy-focused aesthetic. This included designing the main Cost of Living identity, implementing the new look for the Counting the Cost of Living sub-brand, and updating the index promo treatment for existing online articles.
